WINE DOGGY BAG NEWS –SUMMER 2008

Can you believe….we’re almost halfway through 2008………
It’s been a very busy time for us as we continue to experience record growth and acceptance of our wine doggy bags throughout the states and beyond.  We’ve moved to larger offices, implemented a new web-based Customer Relationship Management system and added some independent sales reps (we’re looking for more so give us a call if you know anyone who might be interested).  Thomas has asked for a new Board of Dogrectors so you’ll see changes in the makeup of it shortly (sorry - still no cats).  If you’d like your dog to be considered for a spot on the Board, please email his or her picture and vital statistics to Thomasthedog@winedoggybag.com.  Our collection of wine labels with pictures of dogs on them continues to grow   Thanks to all of you who sent us your bottles or pointed us in the right direction.  We are also looking at new products that we feel would complement our wine doggy bags and hope to introduce them by the end of the year.

We’ve acquired CorknGo ……..
We are pleased to announce that we have brought CorknGo into the winedoggybag family.  CorknGo’s unique bag has been the favorite of many restaurants and its presence in the Midwest has helped spread the word of the benefits of having wine doggy bags available.  CorknGo’s founder Joel Longstreth is an expert in the plastics industry and we look toward his wise advice as we continue to seek new and improved products.  This, along with our acquisition last year of Bagovino, continues our strong commitment to the hospitality industry and our clients.

Get ready, Georgia and District of Columbia and thank you to West Virginia…………….
Thank you, Governor Perdue.   Looks like Georgia will be joining 47 other states with its recent “Merlot-to-go” law leaving only Alaska and Mississippi to ponder the errors of their way.  And equally as exciting, the District of Columbia has also passed a “Wine Doggy Bag” law bringing joy, we are sure, to the new administration.  We also want to take this opportunity to thank the good folks of the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Commission for approving our wine doggy bags for use in their fair state.

Customized logos continue to gain acceptance with our customers………
We have seen a significant increase in restaurateurs who have chosen to put their logos, website and address information on our wine doggy bags making them part of an overall marketing program.  Call us if you’d like to learn more about this.
